The 40th Annual North Carolina Watermelon Festival will kick off with the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce Shrimp Dinner at 4:00 PM on July 30, 2025. The tickets for the dinner will be sold for $ 18.00 and purchased at various locations in town.
From July 30 through August 2, 2025, come and enjoy all that Murfreesboro has to offer! From family entertainment, amusement rides, various vendors, musical artists, the Watermelon Parade and those dazzling fireworks that light the night sky, you would be sure to have an absolutely wonderful time! The Watermelon Queen
Meet the 2025 North Carolina Watermelon Queen, Elle Steinlage. Elle is from Morrisville, NC and a student at NC State majoring in Agricultural Communicators Program and is actively involved in the Agricultural Business Management Club, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Gamma’s State College Chapter.
In her role as the North Carolina Watermelon Queen, Elle promotes the state’s agricultural heritage and contributions of the watermelon industry. She is committed to highlighting the significance of watermelon farming and agriculture, while fostering connections between growers and consumers.
